Job Overview
This position is responsible for enhancing the programs and services of Southern Missouri Reentry. The core position focus is promoting and advocating for the facility’s program.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Enhances Southern Missouri Reentry’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with the other professional, civic and private organizations.
- Must have the ability to work with individuals with criminal, asocial, and addictive personality
- Conducts staff meetings at least monthly to foster open communication, establish policy, discuss problems, ensure compliance with requirements, and accomplish program objective
- Ensures personnel are cleared through required vetting services prior to start date.
- Ensures administrative policies and procedures are established for all functions of operation
- Enhances Southern Missouri Reentry’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with the other professional, civic and private organizations.
- Works with Human Resources to ensure the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff.
- Supervises assigned departments with respect and dignity
- Communicates effectively with the supervisees by providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the supervisees to function properly
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in a social, human services, criminal justice, behavioral science program from a university required; Two years of work experience in a related field, and a minimum of two years management experience required; Any other combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired skills, knowledge or abilities may be considered; Total work experience needed in lieu of the combination of education and work experience is six years, with two of the years in a supervisory position
- Active fundraising experience; Excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community
- Previous success in establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence including funders, partner agencies and volunteers
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time
Certifications and Licenses
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate liability insurance preferred. Positions in this classification may be required to travel and work at multiple sites on a regular basis
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification completed within probationary period and maintained throughout employment
