Southern Missouri Reentry, LLC (SMR) officially opened its doors on July 25, 2025 with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and open house at its new facility in Farmington.
Located at 850 Progress Drive, the event welcomed approximately 200 guests to learn more about SMR’s mission to support successful reentry for individuals transitioning back into society. Attendees received guided tours of the residential reentry center, met staff members, and enjoyed food and refreshments.
Associate Program Director Jennifer Pecorella said, “I think we had a wonderful turnout and tremendous support from the community.”
The facility began serving the community on August 1, 2025, offering reentry support to individuals and families across 12 counties in the Southeastern Missouri region. Since January, the building has undergone a full-scale renovation, transforming the site into a multi-million-dollar residential reentry campus designed to meet the individual needs of each client in a secure, supportive setting.
The center will serve both male and female clients and operate with a team of up to 35 trained staff members, committed to professional care, accountability, and public safety. The facility includes advanced systems to support effective management while reinforcing dignity and respect for every person served.
Southern Missouri Reentry is proud to be part of the Farmington community and looks forward to helping change lives—one step, and one second chance, at a time.
